MediScribe Flow will review your request and process it within a reasonable timeframe. Upon completion, your account and the personal data associated with it will be deleted from our systems.
Data we may retain
MediScribe Flow may retain limited records where required or permitted by law, including records necessary for legal obligations, security, audit, billing, or compliance purposes. Such retained records are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Account deletion vs. patient health information (PHI)
Deleting your end-user account is different from the handling of protected health information (PHI) that an organization processes through MediScribe Flow:
- End-user account deletion (this page) removes your individual account and the personal account data associated with it, as described above.
- PHI return or destruction is governed by the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) or services agreement between MediScribe Flow and the organization (the HIPAA covered entity or business associate). When that agreement ends, PHI is returned or destroyed as required by the agreement and applicable law — not by an individual account-deletion request.
- Retention. We retain only the minimum information necessary, and only for as long as required or permitted by law, the applicable BAA or services agreement, or legitimate security, audit, and billing needs.
